Position Title: Bilingual Staff Counselor (English/Spanish)

Position Start Date: Immediate.
Job Hours: Full-time, exempt, 40 hours per week, evenings required. Potential for two part – time positions.
Salary: Depending upon experience, years of licensure, and education.

Job Description: The Center’s Behavioral Health Services provide services to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) and HIV/AIDS communities. General services include crisis counseling, information, and referral; individual, couple and family counseling; psychosocial assessment, triage and treatment planning; and an intern and professional training program for the provision of LGBT and HIV/AIDS mental health services.

The Staff Counselor position provides individual, couple, family and group counseling primarily to the HIV/AIDS and LGBT communities and offers a rare opportunity to join a talented and very hard-working team that is committed to improving the lives of the communities we serve. 1. Education and Experience: Successful completion of terminal graduate training program in a psychotherapy-related field: Ph.D./Psy.D., M.A., or M.S. in psychology; M.S.W.; M.F.C.C., etc., at an accredited university or college. Applicant need not be licensed to apply.

2. Computer/Office Equipment Skills: Must be familiar with Windows environment. Basic word processing skills, including working knowledge of MS Word, is required.

3. Other Special Skills: Strong organizational skills and strong writing skills are required.

4. Language Skills: Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
