As the first standalone university to be certified as a Public Benefit Corporation, or B Corporation, we are proud to announce that Alliant International University has been recertified.
B Corps are institutions and companies that provide a public benefit and embrace the highest levels of commitment to social responsibility. Every two years, B Corps are certified to meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.
In 2015, Alliant joined the ranks of companies like Patagonia, Ben & Jerry’s, and over 1,600 other companies from 42 countries that are seeking to redefine the meaning of success in business. We are proud to be among those companies that are competing to not only be the best in the world, but the best for the world. We believe in using business as a force for good and education as a source for impact.
“Alliant is committed to building a legacy of scholarship and impact while helping reshape our communities. Each member of the Alliant community transcends their role as a student, educator, or professional to consider the societal impact of our efforts. In this, we could not be better aligned with the values of a B corp, and we are proud to continue this legacy of public benefit,” says Andy Vaughn, Alliant President and CEO.
Our vision is an inclusive world empowered by Alliant alumni. We believe that education is the great equalizer, and one of the most powerful tools at our disposal, but it is only when education is paired with purpose that we bear witness to its true power. At Alliant, we pride ourselves in arming future generations with the tools they need to translate their education into public benefit, service to their communities, and a lasting impact. That is why we became the first standalone university to be certified as a B Corp—and that is why we take immense pride in continuing our legacy as a B Corp.
