Degree Information

The MAE program at Alliant prepares you to take on leadership roles in PK–12 schools. You’ll build the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to become an effective, forward-thinking educator who can solve problems, navigate conflict, and work well with individuals, families, and communities. Throughout the program, theory is consistently connected to real-world situations.

By pursuing your preliminary credential alongside your master’s degree, you’ll gain hands-on experience in leading curriculum development, using data to inform decisions, giving meaningful feedback, and building strong support systems for students and schools. The coursework also emphasizes critical thinking and research, setting you up for future opportunities like pursuing a doctorate.
