Phoenix, Arizona is a bustling city offering outdoor recreational activities, excellent weather, and a thriving cultural scene, making it an ideal place to work and study. It’s also the home of the brand-new School of Nursing and Health Sciences at Alliant University.
Phoenix has a large metropolitan area surrounded by mountains, providing opportunities for hiking, rock climbing, and mountain biking. In the winter, you can ski or snowboard at one of the nearby resorts, and in the summer, you can enjoy watersports or take in a professional league baseball game. There are numerous golf courses and parks throughout the city, offering opportunities for sports, picnicking, and enjoying the sunshine.
The city also boasts an array of museums, theaters, and galleries to explore, and the surrounding state of Arizona has scenic attractions such as the magnificent Grand Canyon, the beautiful city of Sedona, and other natural wonders.

Sports and Live Events
Sports fans will find themselves steps away from some of the city’s biggest venues. Catch the NBA’s Phoenix Suns at the Mortgage Matchup Center or cheer on MLB’s Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field—both less than two miles from campus. For soccer fans, matches for Phoenix Rising FC, Arizona’s highest-level pro soccer franchise, are just a quick drive away. Many of these venues also host concerts and special events, offering plenty of ways to unwind after a full day of nursing classes.
