The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects a growth of almost 14% for school psychologist positions nation-wide by 2026. Note that this number is just for school psychologists and does not reflect the ability of those seeking a more traditional education position that they would wish to supplement with this credential, as education positions and school personnel jobs have a strong outlook as well.

When does the MAE with PPS Credential in School Psychology degree program start?
The MAE with PPS Credential in School Psychology degree program is an 8-week term program and is open for enrollment during each of those respective enrollment periods. You can find a copy of our 8-week term academic calendar here.
How long does it take to get the MAE with PPS Credential in School Psychology degree?
The Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Psychology degree is a 60-credit program and takes a minimum of 3 years to complete, over 13 terms.
I already have a master’s degree. Can I just complete the PPS credential?
Students may qualify for the PPS-only option if they already hold a master’s degree in a related field (counseling, MFT, counseling psychology, special education, etc.). We ask prospective students to fill out a transfer credit evaluation form and submit a copy of their transcripts to determine if they qualify.
Can I work full-time and complete the program?
Since some practicum hours are required during the psychology program, it is recommended that students limit work to no more than 35 hours per week. Scheduling flexibility is also recommended so that students may complete some of their required practicum hours during typical K-12 school hours.
What is the modality of this master’s in school psychology online program?
All coursework for the MAE in School Psychology with Pupil Personnel Services Credential program can be completed online and on your time, allowing you to tailor your education to your schedule.
