Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) department of Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is pleased to announce the availability of a Post-Doctoral Fellowship appointment, August 13, 2014 through August 12, 2015. The intent of the Fellowship is to provide an entry-level professional with appropriate supervised experiences ultimately leading to licensure as a psychologist. The position requires the provision of brief and limited long-term counseling, as well as crisis interventions, intake assessments, group counseling, outreach activities, LD and ADHD assessment services, and mentoring of practicum graduate students. Additionally, the position requires participation in clinical staffing, didactic training, staff meetings and involvement in division level committees.

1) Completed doctorate in Counseling or Clinical Psychology;
2) Completed pre-doctoral internship, APA-accredited or equivalent;
3) Well developed skills in therapy and assessment with ability to work with diverse individuals in terms of clinical presentation and identity.
1) Sincere desire to pursue a career in college and university level counseling services;
2) Interest in furthering skills in working with clients diverse in identity (race, age, gender, sexual orientation, SES, religion, national origin, etc.)
3) Desire to contribute to the psychology profession through mentoring activities of psychology graduate students.
