Affordable, Multiculturally-Competent Psychological Assessment Services
CSPP Psychological Assessment Clinic provides affordable psychological testing and assessment services to infants and preschoolers, school-age children, adolescents, and adults from diverse cultural backgrounds in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our goal is to serve disadvantaged and low income individuals who might otherwise not be able to receive these services. Services are provided both at our clinic office at One Beach Street on the San Francisco campus of Alliant as well as on site at various schools, clinics, hospitals, and home settings. Assessment services are provided by advanced graduate students in clinical psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology under the supervision of its faculty and supervisory staff of licensed psychologists.
Types of Assessments We Provide
Intellectual Assessments, Assessment of Intellectual Disability, Assessment of Academic Achievement. Assessment of adaptive behavior and the capacity for independent living. These assessments may be used for school placement decisions, disability evaluations, evaluating the capacity for independent living and adaptive behavior, and employment decisions.
Assessment of learning disabilities in children and adults. Assessment of the Impact of trauma and emotional factors on the learning process. These assessments may be used for special education assessments and the IEP process.
Assessment of Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder
Full assessment of children’s ADHD and related co-occurring behavioral and emotional problems, including oppositional and defiant behavior and conduct problems. Assessment of ADHD in adolescents and young adults. Assessments of Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. Assessment of behavioral adjustment problems including oppositional-defiant behavior and conduct disorder. Strength and competency based behavioral assessment.
Assessment of Autism Spectrum Disorders
Assessment of the full range of autism spectrum disorders in children and adolescents. Consultation for planning appropriate interventions at home, at school, and in the community.
Assessment of the cognitive effects of head trauma. Assessment of cognitive loss from dementia. Memory assessment. Assessment of executive functions.
Personality and Emotional Assessments
Assessment of depression, anxiety, and emotional regulation. Assessment of the impact of trauma on psychological functioning. Assessment of self-concept. Assessment of coping skills and stress management.
Assessment of Interpersonal Relations
Assessment of family relationships. Assessment of bonding and attachment. Assessment of social problems including bullying, aggression and violent behavior. Assessment of the impact of drug and alcohol use on interpersonal functioning.
Assessments of Attachment, Bonding, and Parenting
Assessment of the parent-child attachment relationship. Assessment of adjustment in foster care settings. Assessment for Permanency, Reunification, and Adoption decisions.
Assessments of adolescents’ mental health needs for probation and for juvenile court. Assessment of bonding and attachment for Permanency, Reunification, and Adoption proceedings. Assessment of parenting skills in custody-related disputes.

Additional licensed psychologists with expertise in particular areas of assessment and language serve as consultants and supervisors for the clinic.
Fees for services are on a sliding scale based on need. Our clinic also contracts with social service and community agencies as well as schools, to provide services at low cost.
