Recently, Alliant Fresno student Diane Le was awarded the I-MERIT Campus Committee Award for the 2014-2015 semester. This award is given to a committee member who demonstrates commitment to diversity issues at Alliant and in the Fresno area. Her name will be added to a plaque on the Fresno campus.

Diana took a leadership role when preparing the I-MERIT event "Bridging the Gap Between Fresno Communities of Color and Law Enforcement." Diana communicated with the public defender's office, department of behavioral health, Fresno EOC, Dr. Crozier, the Fresno Metro Black Chamber of Commerce and community organizers. Diana dedicated time and energy to these tasks, and handled everything with professionalism. Diana also took care of logistics such as food pick up and preparation for the event.

Diana was born and raised in Santa Rosa, CA and completed her BA in Psychology at CSU Channel Islands. Diana loves to be involved in community engagement, and she is the social-activities co-chair of the Fresno campus Student Government Association (SGA).

Congratulations Diana!
