Students can transfer two of the certificate courses to Alliant’s Master of Science (MS) in Healthcare Analytics degree. The 9 credits in this graduate certificate are graduate-level and 6 of the 9 credits may be applied to CSML’s Master of Science in Healthcare Analytics (MSHA) degree program.

Degree Information


This 8-week per course, 3-course certificate program will effectively prepare its graduates to ensure that the critical functions of the modern healthcare world work as quickly and as smoothly as intended, so that proper and effective care can reach as many people as possible. This certificate program will teach students to select, prepare, analyze, interpret, evaluate, present and secure health data related to system performance and effectiveness, along with improving their problem-solving skills and their ability to lead in making data-driven decisions.
Students can transfer two of the certificate courses to Alliant’s Master of Science (MS) in Healthcare Analytics degree. The 9 credits in this graduate certificate are graduate-level and 6 of the 9 may be applied to CSML’s Master of Science in Healthcare Analytics (MSHA) degree program.

Specifically, this certificate program will prepare its students to succeed in the 4 following areas:

  1. Conduct reliable and validated descriptive and predictive statistical evaluations of healthcare data;
  2. Apply diagnostic and prescriptive data analysis to communicate patterns to stakeholders;
  3. Recognize, articulate, and utilize key performance and financial indicators in health information analysis and reporting; and
  4. Effectively synthesize ontological classifications, nomenclature, and coding into healthcare systems and analytics processes.
  5. Provide reliable protection for hospital reporting systems along with HIPAA security and privacy compliance protocols to secure sensitive healthcare data.
