Saying Farewell to Dr. Steve Brown: Farewell Party Invitation and Request for Materials (4/3/15 at 3pm)

Dear CSPP Students, Alumni, Faculty & Staff,

As you may all know, Dr. Steve Brown is retiring at the end of this academic year. Dr. Brown has been in the Alliant system for 19 years and has served our university in many capacities – as an adjunct, lecturer, associate professor and full professor. During his tenure at Alliant, he has served in many crucial committees both at the campus level and the systemwide level. Most notably, he played a crucial role in the recent reaccreditation process of the CFT program. Steve has always gone above and beyond his duties, be it as a colleague, in the classroom, in the faculty/committee meetings or in his collaboration with professional organizations. His passion is to mentor students in their research work. There has not been an AAMFT conference without Steve presenting with his students.  He is going to be sorely missed! Steve often says that “this is my fourth retirement.” I think that we are fortunate that he came back to academia and made us the last institution that he retired from.

Who: We are throwing a retirement party for Dr. Brown

When: April 3, 2015 between 3.00 PM – 5.00 PM

Where: Alliant International University, Irvine Campus (2855 Michelle Drive, Suite 300, Irvine, CA – 92606).

We would like to invite you to this party. Refreshments will be served. Please RSVP by replying to rnatrajan@alliant.edu. Alumni please RSVP to  CSPPalumni@alliant.edu

At this time we will be presenting Dr. Brown with a memory book. So, please take a few moments to pen down your thoughts and send them (email them) my way….even if it is just a couple of sentences. He would really appreciate it. You may also send photos and images. Please send in your messages and photos by Friday, March 20th.

Please forward this to anyone you think might like to attend the party and/or send a thoughtful note to Dr. Brown. Thank you.

We hope to see you there!
