Biography

Dr. Cassondra Lochard is an instructor and program director for the general education program at the California School of Management and Leadership at Alliant International University.  She is also the program director to Alliant’s Pathway to College Program.   

Dr. Lochard received Ph.D. in Mathematics and Science Education from the University of California, San Diego and San Diego State University (UCSD/SDSU) joint doctoral program, an M.A. in Mathematics from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and a B.S. in Mathematics from California State University, Long Beach (CSULB).  

Dr. Lochard’s research interests lie primarily in mathematics teacher education, ways in which college and partner primary school resources (human, capital and social) shape professional development and educational efforts.  She is also interested in undergraduate mathematics education, specifically in what ways computer learning platforms, the internet, and other multimedia electronic resources can support teaching and learning.

Biography

Dr. Hamid Rahman retired in 2010.

Dr. Hamid Rahman is Professor of Finance in the School of Management at Alliant International University in San Diego. Prior to joining the academia, he had wide experience in public and private sector organizations including positions in an international subsidiary of Exxon and a stint on the Board of Directors of a subsidiary of Unilever.

His major research interests are risk management, international finance and behavioral finance. He has previously published in journals like, "Journal of Futures Markets," "Journal of Multinational Financial Management," "Global Finance Journal," "The Journal of Financial Research," "Financial Services Review," "Journal of Investing," and "Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics."

He has a Ph.D. in Finance from Syracuse University, New York and has previously held faculty positions in Old Dominion University, Norfolk and Louisiana State University Shreveport.

Dr. Rene Naert retired in 2013.

Dr. René M. Naert, Ph.D., a professor at Alliant International University, has over 25 years of higher education program development, delivery and administrative experience.

He has served as a systems analyst, curriculum developer, and systems engineer in the creation of over 40 multimedia, interactive, computer and web-based training and educational products.

Dr. Naert has extensive consulting experiences in both the national and international business arenas. During his tenure as president of KinderView.com (1998-2002), the company won several awards for its cutting edge technology, including the Cisco and Inc. Magazine's "Growth Through Technology" award for 1999. In April of 2000 the Smithsonian Institute of Washington, D.C., in conjunction with ComputerWorld magazine, conferred a Laureate's Medallion upon the company in the "Unique Technology Innovation Category" for its unrivaled hardware and software configurations. KinderView was listed as one of the top 50 Web Companies by CIO Magazine and was presented with the "Golden Web Award&" for 3 consecutive years by the International Association of Web Masters and Designers.

Dr. Naert holds a doctoral degree in Computer Mediated Distance Education from Walden University, in residency at Indiana University; a Masters Degree in Business Administration from National University, and a M.A. Degree in Psychology, Counseling and Guidance from the University of Northern Colorado

Saba Ozyurt

Biography

Dr. Saba Senses-Ozyurt is an associate professor of business and international relations and program director for the bachelor's (BSBA) and master's (MBA) business administration programs at the California School of Management and Leadership at Alliant International University.

Dr. Ozyurt received her Ph.D. in political science and psychology from the University of California, Irvine (UCI). She taught at University of California, San Diego (UCSD), University of California, Irvine and Chapman University before joining Alliant International University. She has been a visiting research fellow at University of California, San Diego Center for Comparative Immigration Studies, University of Utrecht, Netherlands, and University of California, Irvine Center for Peace and Conflict Studies.
