In honor of Military Appreciation Month, we celebrate our military community and thank you for your service and sacrifice.

Alliant has many students, alumni, staff, faculty, and board members who have served their country as a part of our armed forces, and we honor you for all that you have done on behalf of our country. Much of my pride comes as someone who was born and raised on the airbase that housed the Strategic Air Command (SAC) headquarters and as a proud son whose father served in the U.S. Navy in Korea, and later in the U.S. Air Force during turbulent and threatening times for our country.

It’s hard to amplify the impact that our men and women in uniform make in their communities, but we are proud to play a part in helping our military students translate their impact to their educational and professional journeys.

We firmly believe that our country should serve those who have served and provide quality mental health services and education to each and every veteran. That’s why we joined forces with members of the House of Representatives in advocating for the passage of the Forever GI Bill, and— as a proud Yellow Ribbon University—we will continue to honor, and advocate for, our military community, not just during Military appreciation month, but year round and as long as it takes to ensure that we properly serve and pay tribute to the brave men and women of our military.

Thank you for all that you do and thank you for all you give.
