California School of Management & Leadership Professor Dr. Rachna Kumar Appointed to the Board of Directors of the World Trade Center

SAN DIEGO, Calif. -- Dec. 14, 2012 -- California School of Management & Leadership is honored to announce the appointment of Dr. Rachna Kumar, MBA program director, to the Board of Directors of World Trade Center San Diego.

Dr. Kumar is the MBA program director and professor of information systems and technology in the School of Management & Leadership at Alliant International University in San Diego. She teaches courses in electronic commerce, data mining and business intelligence and specializes in transfer of information systems skills in bi-national contexts, computer mediated technology and remote work environments, drivers of innovation in organizations and online education. She has published more than 50 articles in these areas in reputed journals and at conferences. She has consulted for several firms in the U.S., Mexico, Turkey and India, and is an active member of the academic community as journal reviewer, as member of advisory panels, and as member of editorial boards. Dr. Kumar has a Ph.D. in information systems from Stern School of Business at New York University, New York.

“I am honored to be appointed to the board of directors of the World Trade Center San Diego (WTC) and continue supporting its great mission in this new capacity. WTC is a key organization for furthering regional and global trade expansion in San Diego and I am happy to be part of that” said Dr. Kumar.

The WTC Board of Directors consists of leaders in international trade serving a two year term. The new board was announced by the CEO and President Steven W. Weathers at the World Trade Center’s Annual Breakfast event at the University Club on Friday, December 14, 2012, attended by San Diego Mayor Bob Filner.
