International Programs

a

We at Alliant International University have been proud to live up to the ‘International’ in our name. However, times have changed, and our focus has turned, once again, back home to California.

We regret to inform you that, if you were looking to enter into either of our International Psychology Programs in Hong Kong or Tokyo, Japan, we are no longer admitting new students into these programs.

While it saddens us to end enrollment for these programs, we want the students still currently in these programs to know that they will receive the same high standard of education they would receive from Alliant under any circumstance, and we would like you to know, that you, just like each and every other one of our graduates, is a permanent part of the Alliant family, and nothing can ever change that.

If you are a currently-enrolled student in either of these programs, the homepages for each respective one may still be found here:

Clinical Psychology PsyD – Hong Kong

Here at Alliant International University, we have been proud to offer programs in cities and countries around the world in support of the desire to truly be the international university that our name says that we are. We consider each and every student that has passed through our international programs to be as much a part of the Alliant family as those that attend classes either online or at our California campuses and, too, are deeply proud of the contributions to they have made to the fields of psychology, education, business, and forensic science around the world.

However, times have changed for us at Alliant, and we have ceased enrolling new students for our PsyD in Clinical Psychology Degree Program that was being offered in Hong Kong.

While this does mark the end of an era for Alliant we want to ensure and reassure every student in this program that, despite its end, Alliant is committed to providing the same institutional excellence they have received throughout their time in the program—the very same institutional excellence each and every prior graduating class in each of our programs across the world has received. As this final student cohort works its way towards the commencement stage they will have access to every single student and educational resource they would have as if the program was still accepting new entries, and that we at Alliant will be there for them as if nothing has changed as this program teaches itself out to completion.

While we are saddened by the ending of our Hong Kong program, we, as always, remain immensely proud of the students we have taught, the professionals we have prepared for the field, and the lives we have changed through the educational journey offered at Alliant International University, regardless of what part of the world that we’re in together.

NOTE: If you are currently enrolled in this program the information you may be looking for is still listed below.

Curriculum – Learning Outcomes – Practica and Internships

The curriculum provides training in the scientific foundations of psychology, research, clinical theory, and the hands-on skills a practitioner needs. The PsyD dissertation is meant to demonstrate the student’s ability to think critically about clinical and social issues and to make appropriate use of scientific knowledge and psychological research in professional practice.

The Clinical Psychology PsyD program is designed to be completed in four years, with a combination of semester-long face to face courses, intensive face to face courses, semester-long online courses, semester-long blended courses (some instruction face to face and some instruction online), and supervised field work. Schedules are designed to accommodate working professionals. Teaching staff are drawn from both CSPP faculty in the U.S. and Hong Kong and the professional psychological community in Hong Kong.
