Talia Szydlo
Biography

Dr. Talia Szydlo is a psychologist licensed in the United Kingdom. In addition to being core faculty at Alliant International University, she is a clinical instructor at the Yale Child Study Center, Yale School of Medicine.

Prior to moving to the USA, Dr. Szydlo held positions at the Mental Health Service of King’s College University, as well as in Parkside Clinic, an NHS clinic for long term psychoanalytic psychotherapy.

Dr. Szydlo has been working with young adults since 2012. Her main orientation is psychodynamic. She works with specific problems such as anxiety, depression, relationship problems, and eating disorders…as well as with existential issues such as identity matters, living authentically, and finding meaning in life.

Professional Interests

Dr. Szydlo enjoys conducting qualitative research as it provides rich descriptions of unique lived experience, and in-depth understanding of complex phenomena. Her research interests include the process of migration, identity formation, critical psychopathology, and applications of psychoanalytic theory and existential philosophy in psychotherapy.
