Alliant law school Professor appointed to Dublin City Council

AN DIEGO — Feb. 21, 2013 — Professor Abe Gupta has been appointed to the Dublin City Council. Gupta, a business attorney, teaches legal writing at Alliant International University’s San Francisco Law School.

He replaces a seat vacated by Eric Swalwell, who left to serve in Congress. Gupta was chosen on a 3-1 council vote over nine other applicants. Council members said that they were impressed by Gupta’s legal and business background and his wish to attract high-tech jobs to the city. Dublin, CA is a city of 46,743 in Alameda County, 35 miles east of San Francisco.
