Ways to Support Families
- Screen for Stress – Ask about stressors related to immigration status and provide mental health resources (e.g., Soluna app for teens, FIND desk for community support).
- Provide Accurate Information – Share legal rights and advocacy resources, such as those from the Immigrant Legal Resource Center (ILRC).
- Write Support Letters – Use the "Immigration" template in Epic for families facing deportation. For guidance on writing effective support letters, visit the Immigration Justice Campaign.
- Family Preparedness Plans – Help families prepare in case of separation or deportation. Resources like the ILRC's Family Preparedness Plan can be helpful.
