Biography

I am an experienced educational leader and scholar with more than 24 years in K–12 education and over 18 years of service as a school principal across elementary, middle, and K–8 settings. I currently serve as Principal of Lakewood Falls Elementary School in Plainfield School District 202, where I lead a diverse school community with a strong focus on high-quality instruction, inclusive practices, and positive school culture. I hold a Doctorate in Education/Educational Leadership and have a proven track record of improving student achievement through data-informed decision-making, Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), and effective instructional systems.

In addition to my school leadership role, I serve as an adjunct professor and clinical supervisor, teaching graduate-level courses in educational leadership, educational technology, clinical practice, and ethics. My university teaching emphasizes the practical application of theory to real-world school contexts, preparing aspiring educators and administrators to lead with clarity, integrity, and a student-centered mindset. Drawing on my extensive administrative experience, I support candidates in developing reflective practices, strong instructional leadership skills, and the ability to navigate complex educational environments.

I am particularly passionate about leveraging educational technology and emerging tools, including artificial intelligence, to enhance teaching, learning, and leadership effectiveness. My work centers on building educator capacity, fostering collaborative problem-solving, and promoting continuous improvement at both the classroom and systems level. Known for my approachable and supportive style, I am committed to mentoring future educators and leaders who are prepared to make a meaningful, lasting impact in schools and communities.
