Randall Tackett
Biography

Dr. Randall Tackett received his BS from Jacksonville University in 1975. He then received an MS degree in pharmacology and toxicology from Auburn University in 1977 and his Ph.D. in pharmacology and toxicology from the University of Georgia in 1979.  Following a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina, he returned to the University of Georgia as an assistant professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology.

He is currently Professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology and Graduate Coordinator in the Department of Clinical and Administrative Pharmacy.  He is also Director of the Clinical Trials Graduate Certificate Program at the University of Georgia in the Department of Regulatory Affairs. He has Adjunct Faculty appointments at Fairleigh Dickinson University and Alliant International University.  Dr. Tackett has extensive experience regarding drugs that are abused, including marijuana.  

Dr. Tackett has been recognized as an expert in pharmacology, toxicology, and regulatory affairs and has given presentations to various groups, including health care professionals, judges, and attorneys.
