Biography

I am a licensed therapist and educator with over 20 years of experience in counseling, clinical leadership, and higher education. My professional background includes serving as a lead counselor within a comprehensive middle school setting, where I provide direct mental health services, coordinate schoolwide supports, and supervise intern school counselors. My work is grounded in developmental, systems-based, and evidence-based approaches that support students’ academic, social, and emotional functioning.

I currently serve as an adjunct professor in the Bachelor of Arts Psychology program at Notre Dame de Namur University (NDNU). In this role, I focus on instruction, mentorship, and the integration of theory with applied clinical practice. My academic and clinical interests include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), group counseling, grief interventions, and trauma-informed care. I bring extensive experience facilitating therapeutic groups and supervising emerging counselors within educational and clinical environments.

In addition to my academic and school-based work, I maintain a private practice serving individuals, couples, children, and adolescents throughout California. My clinical specialties include CBT, EMDR, couples counseling, and individual therapy. I am committed to culturally responsive, and evidence-based practice that promotes resilience, emotional regulation, and long-term psychological well-being.
