Biography
Dr. McCullaugh is a licensed clinical psychologist by the California Board of Psychology, license number PSY26244. He holds a Ph. D. in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University, a Master of Arts in Addictions Counseling from Lewis & Clark College, and a Bachelor of Psychology w/ Honors from Concordia University – St. Paul. The primary focus of his clinical experience has centered on clinical and forensic applications of psychological assessments in inpatient, outpatient, non-patient populations – utilizing a wide variety of psychological and neuropsychological assessment tools. He is a former, certified evaluator for the California Sexual Offender Management Board (CASOMB), an evaluator for the California Department of State Hospitals’ Conditional Release Program (CONREP), conducts Child Welfare Services / Treatment and Evaluation Resource Management (CWS/TERM) evaluations for San Diego County, and has been accepted as an expert witness in California Superior and United States Federal Court in the areas of Psychological Assessment and Risk Assessment. He is Adjunct Faculty at Alliant International University, instructing graduate students in the use of psychological assessment instruments. He has published multiple, peer-reviewed articles and presentations on the use of psychological assessment tools in determining impairments, areas for intervention, known group comparisons, the detection of deception, and test construction and validation. He has extensive experience in assessment with children and adults in inpatient, forensic, non-patient, and consulting settings.
