Donna Snow
Biography

Donna Snow, Ph.D. is an Adjunct Professor in the APA-accredited Clinical Psychology PhD Program on the Emeryville Campus and first joined Alliant in 2020, but taught at California State University, Fresno from 2014 to 2022. She received her doctorate in 2019 from Alliant International University, Fresno, completed an internship and post-doctoral fellowship with Sutter Center for Psychiatry in Sacramento, CA where she received training in severe mental illness in clients ranging from children into older adults.  

Dr. Snow’s specialty area is forensic psychology, and she predominantly conducts psychological evaluations with justice-involved youth and adults, assessing various psycholegal referral questions. She has specialized training in violence risk assessment, sexual risk assessment, malingering, and the role of developmental processes and trauma in delinquency and criminal behavior. She currently owns and runs her own practice (based out of San Francisco, CA), serving justice-involved persons throughout the state of California. She has served as an expert witness on various criminal cases in both the criminal justice system and the juvenile justice system. Additionally, Dr. Snow devotes time to working pro-bono with youth and young adults trying to distance themselves from gangs. She also regularly works in acute psychiatric units within the state prison system where she provides therapeutic services, suicide risk assessment, and other evaluations.

Professional Interests

Dr. Snow’s current research interests include violence risk, sexual risk,  program evaluation of sex offender treatment programs, as well as various topics within philosophy of science.
