Biography

Dr. Bridget Aiello (she/her) is an Adjunct Professor and Clinical Supervisor in the Clinical Psychology PsyD Program at Alliant International University, California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP). She is a licensed clinical psychologist in California, Colorado, and New York.

Dr. Aiello’s clinical work focuses on trauma recovery, eating disorders, body image concerns, emotion dysregulation, anxiety, depression, and relational challenges. She integrates psychodynamic and humanistic frameworks with evidence-based interventions, including CBT, DBT, CPT, and EMDR, and emphasizes trauma-informed, inclusive, and identity-conscious care.

Dr. Aiello completed her APA-accredited internship at Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility and her post-doctoral fellowship at the University of California, San Diego’s Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). Her doctoral dissertation examined disordered eating and body image among transgender adults, reflecting her longstanding commitment to supporting marginalized and LGBTQIA+ communities.

In addition to her academic teaching at Alliant, Dr. Aiello provides supervision to graduate student clinicians at Alliant’s CAPS Psychodynamic Clinic. She is dedicated to fostering accessible, affirming, and evidence-based mental health care while promoting professional growth, integrity, and reflective practice among emerging clinicians. Dr. Aiello also maintains a private practice specializing in trauma recovery, eating disorders, mood symptoms, relational concerns, and identity development.
