Alex Papp, MD, ABPN, is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist who is an adjunct faculty at the Alliant International University, California School of Professional Psychology. He has co-taught psychopharmacology of depression and PTSD since 2017 (adding OCD in 2025). Dr. Papp is also an Assistant Clinical Faculty member at UCSD, where he volunteers at the student-run free clinic.
Dr. Papp offers psychiatric care and ketamine for depression, bipolar, PTSD, suicidality, anxiety, ADD, OCD, & other serious mental health conditions, collaborating closely with Julie Myers, PsyD, MSCP at the Point Loma Clinic.
Together with Dr Myers, Dr. Papp has given several talks about the use of ketamine in psychiatry and had a poster presentation at the International Ketamine Conference at Oxford, UK. He published the first two peer-reviewed articles specifically focusing on "brain zaps", an antidepressant discontinuation symptom.
