The career prospects for those already teaching, or wishing to become a teacher, are strong as the nation’s population continues to rise at a relatively steady rate. While the growth percentages may not look extravagant at first glance—8% for high-school education, 8% for middle-school education, and 7% for elementary education—they represent a job pool of over 3,000,000 positions in the U.S. today, with another 200,000 added between now and 2026 and an exceptionally large workforce for our graduates of the CTEL Credential program to enter in to.

Graduates of our CTEL Credential program often already work as teachers at various levels including elementary, middle- and high-school levels. Some also do go on to teach at the collegiate levels as well, and the graduates of this program that go on to become teachers make up both the bulk of their post-school career paths, and their post-school career options, as this is relatively specialized degree. Other career options include becoming a school principal, adult and secondary educator, policy maker, and a professional tutor.

Private and public scholarships can help you meet the cost of your education. Alliant International University is pleased to be able to offer a significant number of institutional scholarships to many of our students. Learn more about these scholarship opportunities at: scholarships.alliant.edu.
