We are now launching our DBA program online with a $25,000 Founder’s Grant. Learn More
If you’re going to lead the next generation of global business, the Doctor of Business Administration Degree Program offered by the California School of Management and Leadership (CSML) will arm you with the experience and expertise you need to become a prominent member in that business community. From advanced statistics to collaborative research, and a focus on technology and quantitative analysis, CSML’s DBA program will prepare you to make an impact in the dynamic world of business, no matter which industry you chose to transform.
CSML’s DBA program can be completed in as little as 3 years. This is significantly shorter than the typical 4 or 5 years it takes to receive a doctorate degree, and we do this without sacrificing any of the quality of the education you would expect to receive from a doctoral-level program.
CSML keeps the doctoral classroom size small because your dissertation deserves the same attention from your professors as it gets from you. As you develop your dissertation, you will be paired with a faculty mentor who will advise and guide you from the prospectus stage through the final defense of your dissertation and your career path design.
On-campus or Online
Offered online or on-campus, our doctoral business degree program works as follows: two years of coursework, with one to two years of dissertation research. All courses are scheduled in an 8-week term format with students taking 1-2 courses per term, reducing the need to balance multiple subjects at once.
“In this program, our internships have given us a chance to get involved in the community, explore ourselves, and do a project with our company which helped to teach me to more and allowed me to explore myself within the community.”

Frequently Asked Questions
The Doctor in Business Administration Degree Program affords its graduates a wide range of career options, with a commensurate range of career outlooks. Two of the most popular careers DBA graduates go in to are financial analysis and accounting—both of which show promising growth rates into 2026, with respective 11% and 10% growth, as demand for both of these positions grows with overall economic activity, which is continually bolstered by the sustained strength of the Western economies, and the emergence of the major Eastern economies in the last few decades. Simply put, as long as there are strong economies, there is need for both of these positions—as well as many others than a DBA can afford you.
Graduates of the Doctor in Business Administration degree program will mostly end up working in the financial sector. However, the wide-ranging curriculum of the DBA allows this program’s graduates to have a substantial amount of freedom as to what exactly that means. As mentioned above, DBA graduates can go into financial analysis and accounting, but that is just the tip of the iceberg. Other job options include: entrepreneurship, advertising, product management, economist, executive positions such as CEO, CIO, and CFO, analytics and big data, professional consulting, university-level teaching, investment banking, and host of other options for those with a DBA.
Private and public scholarships can help you meet the cost of your education. Alliant International University is pleased to be able to offer a significant number of institutional scholarships to many of our students. Learn more about these scholarship opportunities at: scholarships.alliant.edu.
Additional Financial aid is available for those who qualify in the form of loans, grants, federal work study, and military aid. Learn more about financial aid options here.

Starting with term 12, you will work solely on your dissertation until it’s completion. The dissertation comprises 12 of the 60 credits required to receive your DBA, along with approval of your dissertation by an academic board.
The Doctor in Business Administration degree is a 60-credit program and takes a minimum of 3-4 years to complete, across 16 terms.
