2021 will be a landmark year for social impact efforts at Alliant. We will be communicating about these efforts throughout the year and would like to begin the discussion with an overview that includes our Public Benefit Re-Certification, the launch of our Social Impact Committee, and the most recent Bertelsmann CSR priorities

In 2015, Alliant became the first standalone university to become certified as a B-Corp/Public Benefit Institution. In order to keep this designation, we must be re-certified every three years, making 2021 our second re-certification cycle.
Through this certification, we bring transparency and accountability to fulfilling our role as a leader in social responsibility and continue our commitment to not only be the best in the world, but the best for the world.
Alliant Committee on Social Impact
In Q1 of 2021, we will be launching the Alliant Committee on Social Impact. The committee will serve as the governing body for all public benefit, social impact, and corporate social responsibility policies, efforts, and initiatives.
Announcing Bertelsmann’s Eight CSR Priorities
As a member of the Bertelsmann Education Group and Corporate Responsibility Council, we are pleased to announce Bertelsmann’s Eight Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Priorities.
In the fall of 2020, over 600 internal and external stakeholders shared their views on CSR and the top priorities were determined from this feedback. Defining these priorities is an initial step and additional measures are currently being implemented at both the group and divisional levels to further develop CSR efforts and initiatives among the Bertelsmann community.
