The World Peace and Prosperity Foundation, a non profit organization based in London chaired by Prince Mohsin Ali Khan, will be giving Dr. Akiko Mikamo "the Award for Exceptional Service for Peace and Prosperity, Nationally and Internationally" on November 11, 2014 (Remembrance Day, the ending day of the WWI) at House of Lords in Westminster Palace.  The selection committee unanimously decided "because her book (Rising from the Ashes: A True Story of Survival and Forgiveness from Hiroshima) sends a strong message of empathy and forgiveness for the hope for humanity and the world peace."
