Degree Information
The MAE program at Alliant prepares you to take on leadership roles in PK–12 schools. You’ll build the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to become an effective, forward-thinking educator who can solve problems, navigate conflict, and work well with individuals, families, and communities. Throughout the program, theory is consistently connected to real-world situations.

When does the degree program start?
As with your initial credential program, the MAE program operates on an eight-week term basis and is open for enrollment during each respective enrollment period. See our Academic Calendar for more details.
How long does it take to complete the program?
Your initial credential program usually lasts between 12 and 24 months. Depending on your program and track, your MAE will only require two or three additional courses, taken over one to three terms.
