Frequently Asked Questions
The MS in Data Analytics program will typically lead down two career paths for its graduates, financial analysis and market research analysis, both of which have a promising outlook into 2026, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). According to the BLS, financial analysts can expect an 11% growth rate over the next 8 years, building on the nearly 300,000 jobs in that field that already exist, and market research analysts have an even brighter future, where the 600,000 jobs are expected to balloon to almost 750,000 in that same 8-year window. This growth is no surprise, as we continue to steadily move into the data-driven age of business, where the most successful businesses are those that are most capable in using the data available to them, which, simply put, is the data analysist’s job.
Graduates of our Master’s in Data Analytics degree program can expect to join a career in the above-mentioned positions, but, there are other options for those who wish to use their skills in a different context or setting. Those with an MS in Data Analytics could also build a career in the following fields: data scientist, management analyst, consultant, project manager, logistician, data architect, big data engineer, data mining engineer, qualitative analyst, and modeler. These are just a few of the options available to you once you receive your MS in Data Analytics degree.
