California School of Education at Alliant International University

PsyD in Educational Psychology, Online Campus

Professional Information

Program Specialist (West Covina Unified School District) and Adjunct Professor

Q: How did your Alliant experience prepare you for your career?

What I loved most about my experience with Alliant, was that I could utilize the information that I was learning from my classes immediately within my professional career. The program, and content of the classes was perfectly aligned with my areas of interest. During the program, I transitioned to an administrator role, and was able to utilize the information I had learn in my daily life, making me a more confident and effective leader.

Shortly after completing the program, I also was given the opportunity to adjunct teach at the university level, which has been a professional goal of mine.  I believe my experience at Alliant has contributed to my preparation and qualification for this role.

Q: What do you enjoy most about your work?

I love helping. I love working collaboratively with my teams to help meet the needs of our staff, students, and families.

Q: What inspires you to make a positive difference in the world?

Our students deserve access to achieve their personal and professional goals. In equipping our staff, families, and communities, we can provide equitable opportunities for our students to be productive and successful individuals of our society.

Q: Do you have advice for current students interested in your field/profession?

Seek opportunities that you are passionate about. Seek information about topics that you may not fully understand and utilize this knowledge to educate your communities. You can make a difference.
