Alliant International University - Yellow Ribbon Program

Alliant Yellow Ribbon Program

Alliant International University is proud to announce our continuing, unwavering support for military students and their families. Our participation highlights our mission of making a difference in the communities we serve. We have expanded participation and commitment to the Yellow Ribbon Program, a provision of the Post 9/11 GI Bill, for the 2016-2017 academic year.

For 2016-2017 each of our schools at all locations will offer Yellow Ribbon Program scholarships to military students who qualify for 100% of the Post 9/11 GI Bill.

The Yellow Ribbon Program allows degree-granting institutions to voluntarily enter into a formal agreement with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to fund tuition and fee expenses that exceed $21,970.46; the maximum tuition and fee award under the Post 9/11 GI Bill for the 2016-2017 academic year beginning August 1st.

Full (100%) eligibility for the Post 9/11 GI Bill is generally earned after at least 36 months of continuous service, or at least 30 continuous days, and discharge due to a service-related injury after Sept. 11, 2001. This benefit can be transferred to eligible family members.

Active duty service members, their spouses, and Fry Scholarship recipients are not eligible for this program. Visit the VA’s Yellow Ribbon Program website for more information.

The total number of awards offered, and the maximum Yellow Ribbon awards provided by the university (and matched by the VA) will vary based on the school in which a student is enrolled at Alliant.

Each award represents the maximum dollar amount that will be contributed annually by the university towards tuition and fees.
