How to Obtain Military Transcripts
Each branch of the military has developed methods for documenting military training that the American Council on Education (ACE) has evaluated for college credit. For information on obtaining your military transcript, find your branch of service:
AARTS
The US Army provides a transcript of ACE recommended credits called an AARTS transcript. Select the option for OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS and if asked, select the option allowing Alliant International University permission to download your transcript from the Internet. This process normally takes only a few days.
The Army AARTS transcript database includes transcripts going back to 1981. Army veterans may obtain their transcript by contacting the AARTS Center in Ft. Leavenworth, KS at (866) 297-4427.

U.S. Navy and Marine Corps: SMART
The US Navy and US Marine Corps provide a transcript of ACE recommended credits called a SMART transcript. To expedite this transcript, please be sure you select the option allowing Alliant International University permission to download your transcript from the Internet.
U.S. Air Force: Community College of the Air Force (CCAF)
The USAF, through the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF), provides a transcript detailing ACE recommended credit. You will be able to obtain this transcript for military training and experience even if you have not attended classes at CCAF. To order an official copy and have it mailed directly to us, please download a CCAF transcript request and follow the instructions. CCAF transcripts typically arrive within 14 days. CCAF will send an official copy to Alliant by mail.
U.S. Coast Guard Institute: USCGI
A transcript of ACE recommended credits must be obtained through the Coast Guard Institute (CGI). Please download a USCGI transcript request application. These transcripts are not available to download online. The Coast Guard Institute will send an official copy to Alliant by mail.
