Starting July 1, 2026, significant changes to federal student loans will take effect with reduced borrowing limits and lifetime caps as well as the elimination of the Graduate PLUS loan program for any new student that starts their program on July 1, 2026 or after. Current, active, and continuing Alliant student, and those who begin their program before June 30, 2026 will have access to old loan limits and Grad Plus loans (see below for details and exceptions).
New and continuing students whose loans are disbursed by June 30, 2026, will be classified as “legacy” Title IV students and will keep access to Graduate PLUS loans and existing caps through June 2029, or the expected degree program completion date based on the enrollment agreement (whichever is shorter).
Tuition rates are per unit and unless otherwise noted. All costs are subject to change.
Tuition rates are set by the board of trustees. The actual cost of tuition may vary based on schedule, full-time or part-time enrollment status, transfer credits, course failure, taking courses beyond the basic program curriculum, and/or similar circumstances.
Alliant reserves the right to increase tuition and fees and to set new fees. Any changes may be made applicable to students already enrolled in the university, but will not be retroactive for any coursework already completed.
For questions regarding tuition, fees, other expenses and/or payment methods, students should contact Student Finance at sf@alliant.edu.
