Message from the Dean
Welcome to San Francisco Law School!
We are proud at San Francisco Law School of our commitment to diversity in our student body. We know that our students make the decision to study law, often at great personal sacrifice. They come seeking to fulfill a desire to pursue a career in the law or perhaps, as an enhancement to their established business or occupation.
As with every graduate program, law school is time-intensive and demands the mastering of new skills. We have intentionally built an inclusive, supportive culture at San Francisco Law School so that our students can excel and graduate on to successful careers in law. Students who began their legal education at another law school, have often found that our more personalized, tutorial approach to teaching law, extended over our four year program is more accommodating to their needs. In addition, we have many eminent graduates and friends who volunteer their time and effort to mentor students who request special assistance.
Our faculty is comprised of practicing attorneys and judges who bring both expertise and practical experience to their courses and we use the casebook method in our curriculum to focus attention on issue identification, legal analysis and reasoning. There are no "right" answers to memorize at San Francisco Law School.
We invite you to attend one of our monthly Open Houses or to sit in on a class to get a first-hand idea of what it is like to be a law student at San Francisco Law School.
