Master of Arts in Education: Teaching

Education is the great equalizer, the most powerful path to success, and the most valuable asset in the modern era…yet the next generation’s ability to get a quality education is being threatened by one of the worst teacher shortage crises in modern history. We need more teachers now.

While the potential for impact is great, and the schedule is ideal, you become a teacher because you believe the best way to make the world a better place tomorrow is by giving wings to the children of today. And at Alliant International University’s California School of Education, you will learn how to help them fly.

The Masters in Education (MAE) in Teaching program covers three main competencies: foundational, teaching, and research. Foundational so you can build a base of cross-cultural understanding, critical thinking skills, and technology’s place in modern curriculum. Teaching so you can develop models of instruction, methods of assessment, and make a difference in schools, families, and communities. And research so you can get hands-on experience in seminars and a practicum shaped around your goals.

Alliant’s MAE in Teaching degree equips you with the knowledge, thought, and compassion it takes to teach in today’s world. A world where the gap between home and school is shrinking. Where students rely on their teachers to show them not just how to learn, but how to live.

A world where it’s a sacred duty to give every student the same chance to be extraordinary.

Dual Master’s and Credential

Interested in Alliant’s teacher credentialing programs? No worries. We can help. The MAE in Teaching program offers a dual Master’s in Teaching/Preliminary California Teaching Credential so you can get both done at the same time.

While this program’s coursework is offered fully online, you’ll have real-life support through a personal field supervisor and mentor. The dual program also includes student teaching and intern placements on-site in the classroom.

Alliant International University’s California School of Education has a number of credentialing options you can pursue. It’s up to you to decide which teaching credential is right for you.

PRELIMINARY SINGLE SUBJECT TEACHING CREDENTIAL
