Equity and access in higher education, teacher training, building teacher support, academic counseling
Lisa Mauricio is an instructor at Alliant University in the California School of Education. Lisa has worked in varying sectors of education. As a public school high school English teacher then a high school counselor, she worked with students from low socio-economic backgrounds who would be first generation college students. Lisa also worked at the administrative level with schools as a teacher on special assignment to support beginning teachers. In addition to working in K-12 education, Lisa has also taught teacher credentialing and counselor credentialing courses at the university level. Lisa is a first generation college student, her research interests include equity and access in higher education, teacher support and training.
