Biography

Jessie Lowell, PsyD, is a licensed clinical psychologist and Associate Professor in the Clinical PsyD Program at the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) on the Los Angeles campus of Alliant International University. She is also the Internship Training Director for the Clinical PhD and Clinical PsyD Programs on the Los Angeles campus. In this role, she provides individual and group mentoring and guidance to students preparing to apply for full-time APA-accredited internships. Dr. Lowell earned her BAs in Psychology and Religious Studies at Chapman University and her PsyD in Clinical Psychology at Loma Linda University. Prior to her faculty appointment, Dr. Lowell provided clinical assessment and intervention services at a variety of children's hospitals. Her clinical and research interests are primarily in the area of early childhood mental health including the assessment and treatment of high-risk parents, infants, and children; behavioral, emotional, and mental outcomes of early trauma and adverse life events; caregiver-child attachment and parenting in early childhood; effects of prenatal trauma and exposures; infertility and fertility treatment outcomes. She also has an interest in spirituality and mental health.
