You are required to enroll in the following course in order to participate in the Italy Immersion Program: Family Therapy & Culture in Italy (PSY 6654). The elective will be offered during the Spring 2014 semester. All the face-to-face contact will happen in Italy. You need to register for the course before the beginning of the Spring semester. Participation in the immersion program is contingent upon your enrollment in the course. You will be unable to drop the course once you have completed the Italy Immersion Program. Dropping the course would result in financial aid penalties. You will complete required readings and turn in assignments through Moodle before and after you go on the trip and through the course of the Spring semester.
How To Enroll in the Courses
Here are the steps to take in order to enroll in the course:
- Check with your Program Director whether the courses would be acceptable for your program of study. This is crucial because various programs have different expectation and it is important to make sure that you will be able to transfer over the credits to your program of study.
- Enroll for the Spring 2014 Family Therapy & Culture in Italy (PSY 6654) course at the end of the Fall 2013 semester through the usual University registration system.
Students who participate in the Italy Immersion Program will be required to sign a liability waiver to release the university and faculty from responsibility of any loss, damage, injury, expense, or inconvenience caused by strike, war, weather, quarantine, sickness, government restrictions or regulations or any other act beyond reasonable control.
