Prepare for a High-Demand Career
The doctoral PsyD program in Organization Development, offered in Fresno and San Francisco, combines coursework in psychology and organizational theory with specialized courses in organizational change and development. This program is part of Alliant’s California School Professional Psychology (CSPP).
Th Organization Development doctoral program addresses the growing need for practitioners to master increasingly complex organizational and management skills. It encompass several disciplines and prepares post-master’s degree students for careers as:
- Leaders and managers
- Organizational change agents
- College-level professors
Putting Theory to the Real-World Test
A distinguishing feature of CSPP’s Organization Development doctoral program is the integration of courses, seminars, the applied research project, and the application of learning in field work.
International and Multicultural Training
Specific core courses in the curriculum focus on multicultural and international areas. Professional ethics, diversity, multicultural, and international issues are integrated into all courses. Additionally, students have the option to participate in an annual international trip to gain competencies for working in a global environment.
Students enter the Organization Development PsyD program with a master’s degree in the social or behavioral sciences and complete the 66-unit part-time program in three years. Students take courses once a month in a weekend format. Most students begin the program in the spring, however, students who wish to enroll in the fall do so in consultation with the program director.
Convenient Class Schedule
The course schedule is designed for professional adult learners and is accessible to adults with multiple responsibilities. Courses are offered once a month in a weekend format on Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday.
The intensive weekend format makes it possible for students to attend from locations outside California’s San Francisco Bay area and the greater San Joaquin Valley.
- Part-time attendance
- Weekend, executive format
- Online and blended courses
Traveling to the Fresno Campus

The Fresno campus is located very close to the Fresno/Yosemite International Airport (airport code: FAT), which is served by many major airlines. There are several hotels within walking distance of campus which offer special rates for students of Alliant and provide complimentary airport shuttles. For those opting to take the Amtrak train to Fresno, one of the nearby hotels also provides a complimentary shuttle upon request to/from the Fresno train station (Amtrak station code: FNO).
Traveling to the San Francisco Campus
San Francisco is an appealing place to study organizations, change, leadership, and diversity.
