Doctorate in Organization Development
Separation of personal and professional identity is disappearing. Work hats are almost indistinguishable from the hat worn at home. In effect, we, as a society, are getting better at creating work-life balance and recognizing its vitality. And it takes a certain kind of expertise to bring businesses into this new blended world.
It takes the kind of expertise earned through a blend of theory and practice. The kind earned through the PsyD in Organization Development Program at Alliant International University’s California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP).
The Doctorate in Organization Development Program balances comprehensive knowledge of how companies work with psychological theories of how people work within them. Our students become agents of change, able to take on organizational complexities and the intricacies of human behavior. It makes you a better manager. A better leader, who can assess needs and deliver results. A leader who can affect change and create efficiencies at the individual, team, and systems level. And it makes you a better candidate for positions from academia to consulting
Through three years of coursework, informative seminars applied research, and customized field work, you can go on to help organizations successfully transform the measure of success in business. And ensure that companies are competing to not only be the best in the world but the best for the world.
Diverse by Design
At Alliant, we don’t just dabble in diversity. We are an inclusive institution— not by word, but by deed. We have made it our mission throughout every program, school, and campus to create an inclusive patchwork where people – and their ideas – all belong.
Your classmates and professors will paint a mosaic of backgrounds. Your coursework will integrate both multicultural and international perspectives. And you will have the opportunity to participate in an international immersion experience to expand your borders, both physically and philosophically. Because diversity isn’t just a good theory. It’s a cornerstone of our program. Because just like diversity is one of our institutional pillars, diversity, and inclusion are pillars in the field of organizational psychology.

The fieldwork requirement allows you to apply the theories and tools you are learning to the role you are performing in the field, lending to a real-time application of the program.
Hands-on Training: Shape your experiences with fieldwork that aligns with your career goals. From establishing a strategy to team building, to organizational culture change, students in this program are trained to be agents of change and use their education to transform the workplace.
