Master of Arts in Organizational Behavior

The workplace is rapidly evolving. The lines between personal and professional persona is increasingly blurred— the idea of a healthy work-life balance is becoming more mainstream. And the workplace is beginning to better reflect the diversity of our society. We’ve learned that the individual is just as important as the whole, and their success is inextricably tied to the success of the company or organization.

The Masters of Arts in Organizational Behavior program at the California School of Professional Psychology is designed to give you the tools you’ll need to navigate the complex and rapidly evolving world of business.

Courses cover management systems, theories, ethics, conflict, and engagement so you can help develop teams into high-producing units. Throughout this online and on-campus psychology program, you will take part in experiential activities with other professionals in order to extract wisdom from situations outside of your own purview.

In this field, it is vital that you understand the diverse needs of the hearts and minds that give life to an organization. As globalization becomes the new norm, a whole new world of idiosyncrasies must be considered. Classes covering international perspectives combined with the required international immersion experience will widen your own personal perspective.

The world of business psychology is ever evolving. Our Masters in Organizational Behavior will lead you to the edge of innovative solutions to the everyday problems that companies and organizations face. And it will arm you with the tools you need to solve problems and better the workplace. The place in which we spend the majority of our days. The place where we do more than just make a living – we make an impact.

Teachers, Mentors, and Speakers

Our approach to the educational experience is straightforward: smaller classes mean better relationships between professors and students and better relationships between students and their cohorts. Better relationships lead to improved learning experiences. Because you do more than just listen to lectures— you get personal mentoring. Mentoring from leaders who have spent many years practicing in the psychology field you are about to enter. Practicing what they preach, and preparing you to join them.

And they know a lot of other industry leaders. Like Richard Axelrod, Jerry Perlmutter, Judith Katz, Frederick Miller, and Barbara Mink. Leaders who don’t just give speeches, but also come to your class and give you personal, tailored insight. Offering you a view into some great minds and best practices in the field.

The Alliant Choice

We don’t take it lightly when a student chooses us for their education. Making Alliant International University your home means choosing more than just a school. It means choosing quality, from faculty to finish.

So that when you enroll in the Master of Arts in Organizational Behavior program at Alliant International University, you know you’re getting much more than a degree.

ACCREDITATION

The MA in Organizational Behavior Program was first put to the test in the early 2000s when it received accreditation from the International Society for Organization Development. We then took it a step further. We commissioned industry leaders to form the Blue Ribbon Committee which reviewed and made recommendations to further improve the program. The end result was a holistic, academically rigorous, and training-intensive program which arms our students with the tools they need for success in the field.

INDUSTRY INFLUENCE

The California School of Professional Psychology is a proud member of the nation’s top network of industry leaders, the Organizational Development Education Association, a sub-group of the National Organization Development Network.

Finding Your Own Worldview

Over the course of the program, you will meet one weekend per month in an executive format with your fellow students to discuss and dissect the complex world of organizational behavior. You will be challenged and supported through all 34 credits of this program.

The challenge and support extend beyond the classroom and even our borders. The Masters in Organizational Behavior incorporates an annual international trip to give you a more refined cultural fluency. During your time abroad, you will apply insight and intuition with an open mind to immerse yourself in other cultures and types of organizations. Because what better way is there to prepare to lead in diverse settings than to press beyond your own borders?
