I’d like to welcome you to the California School of Forensic Studies (CSFS) at Alliant International University. Ours is an innovative school, focused on preparing students for professional careers in the fields of criminology, criminal justice, and forensics. I hope you will take time to explore our degree programs and contact us with any questions.
As Alliant’s youngest school, we are proud to have experienced substantial growth over the past few years, and we continue to grow and change as the field demands. Consequently, we’ve recently shifted focus at CSFS, moving away from clinical forensic psychology at our core, to emphasize our expertise in criminology and criminal justice. Criminology, sociology and criminal justice have been at the heart of my own career for more than 35-years, and are truly my passion. I am thrilled to see CSFS expand further into these fields.
Because CSFS ensures there is a strong link between theories learned in class, with the practical, real-world application of those theories, graduates of the Applied Criminology program will have a distinct advantage. They will be equipped to start working as officers, agents, or investigators, or in administrative and leadership roles in the systems linked to the fields of criminology and criminal justice. All of our faculty are active contributors in a variety of areas in the field and then bring this field experience directly to our students in the classroom. This is in addition to the wealth of hands-on experience students get through research and internships.
For the next several years as we continue to grow and fulfill our mission, there will be many opportunities for you to pursue your academic and professional interests with us. I am excited for the future of CSFS and invite you to inquire about our programs, research, employment and study abroad opportunities.
