The California School of Forensic Studies (CSFS) is on the forefront of redefining and expanding the traditional definitions of forensic studies and criminology. Customize Your Program

Our master’s degree program in Applied Criminology is designed to enhance the skill set and employability of those interested in entering–or currently working in–the fields of criminology and criminal justice. You can customize the program to focus on your professional interests by choosing one of four distinct concentrations:

  • Criminal Behavior
  • Cyber Crime & Technology
  • Global Crime & Homeland Security
  • Victimology

Each concentration is taught by faculty with field expertise in that area. Students can choose their concentration based on their interests or what is most relevant to their career. All of the concentrations supplement a strong educational base in law, research, theory, and applied criminology.

CSFS faculty are trained professionals with vast real-world experience who care about your success. Many are regarded as top experts in their fields, including Professor Eric Hickey, PhD. They come from a variety of backgrounds including criminal psychology, risk-assessment, hostage negotiating, law and police psychology. The fields of forensics and criminology are still growing and evolving. Much more research still needs to be done to further advance these fields.
