Internship Program Admissions

The California Psychology Internship Consortium provides clinical training that supports interns to develop the following competencies: Research, Ethical and Legal Standards, Individual and Cultural Diversity, Professional Values and Attitudes, Communication and Interpersonal Skills, Assessment, Intervention, Supervision, Consultation and Interprofessional/Interdisciplinary Skills.

Through supervised provision of individual, group and assessment services, and through collaboration with other professionals, colleagues and disciplines, interns further their knowledge, skills and attitudes, laying a solid foundation for independent practice that advances the profession and supports those we serve.

At the time of admission, applicants must have:

  • Total Assessment Hours (including administration, scoring and report writing): 100
  • Total Practica Hours (including Assessment Hours): 800

Additionally, applicants must have completed pracitca hours at a minimum of two different sites.
Interns from both Ph.D. and Psy.D. programs are encouraged to apply. CPIC is dedicated to providing equal educational opportunities to persons of any age, ethnic background, gender, religion, physical ability, sexual orientation and/or gender identification.

INTERNS WHO WISH TO APPLY TO MORE THAN ONE SITE WITHIN THE CONSORTIUM SHOULD SUBMIT A SINGLE APPLICATION. AS PART OF THE APPLICATION. SEPARATE COVER LETTERS, ADDRESSED TO THE INDIVIDUAL SITES TO WHICH APPLICATION IS SOUGHT, SHOULD BE UPLOADED INTO A SINGLE DOCUMENT.
