In addition to the events below, you might also wish to check out our Continuing Education department’s current calendar (alumni receive a 10-20% discount off Alliant CE classes!)
Prospective CSPP students: Thinking about pursuing a graduate degree in one of our programs such as Clinical Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Couple and Family Therapy or Organizational Psychology? You are welcome to attend any of the events below and if you like, we can put you in touch with an Admissions Counselor so you can get a campus tour, attend an open house and learn more about our programs.

Saturday November 1 in Irvine, CA (10am-2pm): I-Merit sponsored Poverty Simulation event. Do you work with low-income families? Do you know what living in poverty really entails? Can you survive a month in poverty? Experience living in poverty for a month through this 4-hour experience, which engages participants with tasks and challenges facing low-income families. CEUs available.

Wednesday, October 22 in Alhambra, CA (6-8pm): The Organizational Psychology Program Presents: “Emotional Intelligence at Work.” Located at the Alliant Alhambra Campus.
Monday, October 20 from 7:00pm – 8:30pm: Shunya Pratichi Mathur, President of the California Association of Ayurvedic Medicine (CAAM), offers a free conference call on the topic of “Ayurveda and Mental Health.” Ayurveda is yoga’s sister-science focusing on healthy lifestyle choices to prevent dis-ease and mental illness from occurring in the first place (“an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”). This call is sure to broaden your horizons on the topic of mental health. This special teleconference event is free and you can dial in from the comfort of your home. Presenters are Carlos Puertas, Senior Manager of Disney University Learning & Development and Christina Ramirez, Training and Development Specialist at the Walt Disney Company. They will be discussing Disney’s approach to Learning and Development, some of the programs that are offered to their employees, and information about jobs and internships.
