Senior Associate/ Senior Project Manager (Salary – $65k – 100k)
Resource Development Associates strengthens efforts to promote social and economic justice
for vulnerable populations. We provide consultation to city, county, and state agencies and
non-profit organizations through the provision of planning, evaluation, resource and
organizational development, data analysis, facilitation, training and technical support. Our

Qualities and Skill Sets
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in:
Experience working with behavioral health systems organizations, understanding of the
Mental Health Services Act and other behavioral health policies and best practices.
Experience working within a broader range of fields including public health, health care
reform, social services, education etc.
Excellent time management and communication skills.
Problem solving in a proactive and innovative way.
Leading teams of people using individual strengths of team members.
Creating feasible workplans/managing them within budget using available resources.
Managing and motivating staff at various levels.
Comfort and skills facilitating large public meetings.
Developing/implementing evaluation plans and data collection tools and conducting data
Writing and editing public documents.
Working with diverse populations.
Job Responsibilities include the following:
Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously including the delivery of scope of
services, client relations and community relations in the following practice areas: strategic
planning, grant writing, evaluation, organizational development or MIS development.
Provide supervision to junior staff and develop growth plans for supervisees.
Generate new business for RDA by responding to RFPs and leading marketing efforts.
Develop partnerships with other consulting firms and/or individual consultants.
Draft scopes of work as part of contract negotiations and manage contracts.
Motivate, mentor, train and lead junior staff.
Participate and contribute to internal strategic planning processes.
Prepare annual performance staff reviews.
Insure Quality Control on project deliverables.
Conduct best practice research & develop literature reviews regarding services/treatment.
Develop position papers, policy analyses, and organizational/community needs
Facilitate large public meetings with diverse stakeholder groups.
Create and manage project work plans.
Lead grant writing, strategic planning and evaluation processes.
Organize and conduct focus groups and key informant interviews, and develop summaries
and analysis of findings.
The person we are seeking will have demonstrated experience working within a broad range of
public sector or social issue areas and disciplines, enjoys research and writing, and welcomes
opportunities to develop new areas of expertise. A successful candidate must have experience working with culturally and ethnically diverse communities and a commitment to social justice.
In addition, they will possess the following:
Masters degree or Ph.D in psychology, sociology, public health, urban planning, education
or related field. Years of commensurate experience can be considered substitution.
A minimum of 3-5 years’ work experience in governmental or non-profit organizations
preferably in a management position.
Experience working with qualitative and quantitative data.
Computer skills including competency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Multi-lingual skills desired but not required.
Driver’s license and access to a registered and insured vehicle for use in carrying out job
Excellent time management skills, work habits, verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently, as well as a member or leader of a team.
