The School of Education and Counseling Psychology invites applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the Department of Counseling Psychology beginning Fall 2015. Responsibilities include: maintaining a program of research leading to publication of high-quality scholarship; teaching the standard academic-year course load for tenured and tenure-track positions; and providing suitable service to the Department, School, and University. The Department prepares masters-level practitioners in Counseling Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Licensed Professional Clinical Counseling, with emphases in Correctional Psychology, Health Psychology, and Latino Counseling.
Qualifications include an earned doctorate in Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program. The candidate must possess a strong commitment to multiculturalism and social justice. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in undergraduate or graduate-level teaching, clinical experience, a successful history of and future plan for published research, and a scholarly interest in multicultural research.
