We are currently accepting applications for our postdoctoral positions available in police psychology. This position includes a stipend and health benefits. No prior experience in police psychology is needed to apply. However, it is expected that applicants will have both a strong clinical foundation and an interest in working with the law enforcement population.
Below is a description of the Clinical Psychology Intern position:
This is a one-year, full-time position that offers supervised training in different aspects of police psychology, such as crisis management, clinical intervention, organizational/unit consultation, post-critical incident interventions, and lecturing. The applicant must have a doctoral degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program.
Psychological Services Bureau is a team of psychologists that provides psychologically-related services to both sworn and civilian Department employees. LASD is the largest Sheriff’s Department in the nation and we serve ~18,000 employees and their families.
