Multicultural Position in Psychology

The Department of Psychology at Michigan State University is searching for an individual to fulfill an academic year appointment as an assistant professor within the tenure system effective August, 2015.

Description: This position is part of the department’s multicultural initiative, and we are seeking candidates from diverse backgrounds who conduct multicultural research (defined as research that is national or international in scope and that addresses concerns of marginalized populations) in any area of psychology but particularly in areas that overlap with one of our six program areas: Behavioral Neuroscience, Ecological/Community, Cognition & Cognitive Neuroscience, Clinical, Organizational, or Social/Personality Psychology.

Expectations: The successful candidate will affiliate with one or more of these programs and be expected to become a highly productive scholar, effective teacher for our undergraduate and graduate programs, and able to secure extramural funding for research. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the Consortium for Multicultural Psychology Research and other departmental diversity-related activities.
