Music Therapy Training Event Presented by Alliant CFT-CSPP Art Therapy Club
The couple and family therapy program at Alliant Los Angeles is holding an event titled Pieces of Harmony: The Application of Music Therapy-Based Techniques for the Mental Health Clinician. Music therapy is the systematic use of music as an intervention tool for therapy when applied by a certified music therapist. This presentation is an experiential and educational workshop designed to provide attendees with music-based interventions for application in mental health treatment therapy.
This event will feature guest speaker Karina Chandler-Ziegler, who has several years of extensive training in music therapy. She has provided music therapy assessments and treatments to diverse populations including children, adults and incarcerated individuals with various mental health diagnoses. She is certified in Latin American family therapy and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral family therapy and is currently employed at Matrix Institute on Addictions in West Los Angeles.
